My Maytag quiet series 200 dishwasher does not fill with enough water. It will make a loud grinding noise until I add about 2 to 3 quarts more water with each load. This will quiet it down some. Any suggestions?

Check the screen filter on the input side of the water valve.
Often they get clogged.
If it is, clean it, do not remove it as it is there to prevent junk from getting into the valve, holding it open and causing a flood.
