My Jenn-Air dishwasher is stopping during the wash cycle. The timer continues to work. The water seems to be vety hot. Measured at 150 degrees. I can move timer to start cycle and nothing happens. I can open door and when cools down it will work again. Is my heating element getting to hot & shutting down? Any ideas?

Am not sure what you mean by the above, what will work again?
It does sound like it may be a motor or motor start relay or timer contacts 4 problem.
This is what is happening.
At about 15 minutes into cycle everything stops working like something has cause it to shutdown. When this happens the timer continues to keep going through it cycle. I can move timer to off and then to start wash cycle & nothing happens. If I open door for about 10 minutes & then close cycle will start. It is as something has overheated. Maybe a hi heat themostat or something else. From what I can tell motor is working fine.
Sounds more like the motor is overheating and it’s internal thermal protect is tripping. It then cools down and resets.
Open up the pump to see if something is jamming the impeller and that the motors armature turns fairly easily.
