dishwasher gets stuck in heat delay twice. at 7oclock position and before drying cycle. water heater is set at 130. i also put water heater at 160 and it still had heat delays. it will not advance unless you turn timer one click. this washer has three temp sensors dont know if heat element could be a cause. if you open door in drying cycle air is warm but not as warm as i think it should be. dishes are never dry we add rinse aid but still no effect.
Here are your parts

I would check the following
Hi-limit thermostat should be 0 ohms
Heater should be around 15 ohms
If you do not own a meter, I would suggest you purchase a one. You can get a decent digital multimeter for under $20.00. You do not need fancy though it is nice if the leads are a couple feet long.
If it saves ordering one unnecessary part it has paid for itself and you end up owning a useful tool.
Most places will not let you return electrical parts so if you order it, you own it.
A couple things to watch when measuring ohms and continuity
- Always remove power from the machine otherwise you could blow your meter.
- Always disconnect at least one side of any device you are checking. This eliminates the possibility of measuring an alternate/parallel circuit path.
- When checking for closed contacts and continuity use the lowest scale (Usually 200 ohms). Then try higher scales. This scale is 0 to 200 ohms so if the device you are measuring is 300 ohms this scale would show an open circuit which it is not, you are just measuring outside the scale’s dynamic range.
There is a good STICKY at the start of this forum about it’s use.
I have the EXACT same problem with a dishwasher that sticks at 7 o’clock and at 10 o’clock before the dryer cycle. Would love to know the resolution of your problem, as mine is unresolved.
Appliance Repairmen have (1) replaced timer, (2) replaced thermostats 154227805 and 154227808, and (3) fixed a loose wire on thermostat. $250. Was either of these the High Temp Thermostat? Do I have two, or three, thermostats?
Frigidaire dishwasher where timer would not advance on heating cycles.
Hi limit thermostat was out.
$20 part replaced to 10 minutes, and dishwasher works on all cycles.
