About 2 weeks ago when running it would make a loud noise. Now when i start it I can hear water running into it, then it does nothing but makes a low humming noise. Please Help!!!
What exactly is the model number of the dishwasher? You can find it on the door frame.

KUD1021RBS3. I read some other threads and checked the chopper area and found a couple things started it up again and still the same thing. Once started the water fills at the bottom then it a low humming sound. When I open the door I can smell a hint of something burning.
Most likely the problem is a stuck wash pump or a bad motor. In order to find out exactly what is wrong you have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet.
