Dishwasher soap and rinse dispenser unit is inconsistent

Purchased in 2005, a floor model, and it came without a manual. It works fine except that lately I’ve had to open the door and unlatch the soap dispenser. Otherwise, it frequently doesn’t open at all. Not sure if the rinse dispenser is supposed to open, or how it works. For a top of the line appliance, this hasn’t been overused and should be working! I tried switching from powder to gel detergent but that hasn’t solved the problem. Where can I find the manual and can I troubleshoot before I have to call in a repairman? Thanks. OC CA.

Sounds like the problem is a bad soap dispenser. It’s not repairable and it comes as a one item.
