I found the service paper and ran through the automatic test and it points to Motor-low current. The unit will wash but not drain. If I set it to drain it runs the motor for a fraction of a second then stops and I can hear the relay clicking inside the control panel every 5 seconds or so. It clicks but the motor doesn’t make a sound. I had all of the screens out and spun the mortor and it spins fine. I took the plug off of the motor and the relay still just clicks on the control so it doesn’t seem like a short in the motor. Can someone help me decide what to replace to resolve this. I didn’t even price a control board yet because I don’t want to take a shot in the dark.
I took the control board out just to look and there was a bad solder joint on one of the relays. It looked like it had no solder from the factory but this unit worked for several years. I cleaned it up and soldered the relay pin to the pad on the board and it works properly. Not an everyday malfunction but I did not have to buy a part.
