I just bought the latch and gasket kit for my frigidare because it was broken and the model number for that is AP3774457 and it doesn’t seem to be working. the new latch says its 12amp and the old one says that its 15 amp, are they compatable? Can you give me some directions on how to install it as well? it didn’t come with any directions. Thanks.
This door latch assembly is the original part made by Frigidaire for the model number you posted. You have to remove the outer door panel to access the part. The door latch secured with the two screws which you should see after you disassemble the door.
