Dishwasher in lock mode cant restart it

I am trying to get my dishwasher off lock mode and it will not respond to directions to unlock it for use. Any suggestions?

Unplug or trip the braeker for half hour or so maybe it will reset

I have tried that numerous times, it will operate for about 2 minutes then shuts down.
Any other suggestions … do I need to replace the control panel? If so a ballpark figure as to the cost of replacement as opposed to purchase of new appliance.

I could not find any info on your unit using the given Model Number.
Please check it.
I did find some info on another site but am not sure if it is the correct model.
It gave a price of $130.00 for the control board and $180.00 for the control panel (keyboard)
It may be worth while calling or emailing the parts people at this site.

Does look like they use this light as a fault indicator re: if the keypad buttons are stuck and perhaps other functions. Kenmore is a pain when trying to get technical data.

I would push every button a couple times if one of them is stuck closed, it may release.
Open up the door and remove the ribbon cable from the control board.
Clean the edge connector of the cable. This can be done with a pencil eraser if it is the type where they just do not have insulation on the end (do not use an ink eraser, it is too abrasive). If they have a connector on it use some electronics cleaner (comes in a spray can) or isopropyl alcohol (available at drug stores) and a toothbrush (be gentle). Also clean the connector on the board. Just make sure all the solvent has evaporated before reconnecting.
Check the tracks in the ribbon cable, one of them may be cracked.

Of course unplug the unit while doing this.

Although I could not find the unit listed on any recall, check to see if the rinse aid has been leaking down on the wires.

From what I have been able to find it seems the problem is 50% the control board and 50% the control panel. Unfortunately most places will not let you return electronic parts. Buy it and you own it, so it is a gamble.

Sorry I could not be more helpful.
Hopefully someone else will jump in with a method to check the above two components and eliminate the gamble.

Thank you for the information!
I will try these suggestions and let you know if they worked!
