Dishwasher has developed a leak

I have traced the leak to the right front corner. It starts after it fills up.
The leak is coming from the float standpipe. I can reach underneath and
get the water to shut off. So I think the switch is good. The float had a bunch of crude built up underneath that I cleaned up. I feel The level is about 1/8 inh to high. Is it adjustable? If I could drop the water leavel slightly it would not leak past the float. TIA

Any help Would be great. The level switch is still leaking. I think I have
Located the leak due to a Slightly high water level. I can look underneathe the unit while it is running and see the drip coming from the r.s. front
of the unit. It’s coming down the tube the mushroom shaped level float
slide up and down in. Any Help?

Hi John,

The only way to adjust the water level is to decrease amount of water by turning down the water shut off valve under the sink.

Gene.

The other thing that I have done a few times is shorten the FLOAT 1/16" You may have to do it a couple of times, Just do a LITTLE at a time!!!

Thanks for the response. I think if I understand Gene’s post I should use the shut off valve under the sink to confirm my diagnosis and yours to make it a fix.
Did I interpet those answers correctly. It looks like 1/16’ is about all you could safely remove from that litttle “Nub” on the bottom of the float.

Yes, and also make sure that the unit is level to slightly tilted to the rear.Good Luck!!
