The Dishwasher will fill with water, but it will not run through the cycle. When I turn the cycle switch past the wash cycle, the dishwasher drains.
after it fills do you hear it trying to do something,or is it completly quiet

there are 2 microswitches in door latch assembly check to see if one switch has failed,
Ok, I feel like a jerk. I told you that when the switch in on a cycle it is very quiet. I was not paying attention to detail! When the switch is on a cycle, the motor hums but the cycle will not run through.

you would have to remove the sump cover and get down to to impeller to see weather something is jamming it , you would need a torque screw driver
