DGHF2360PFA Auger Motor Won’t Stop Spinning

Brand:

Frigidaire

Model Number:

DGHF2360PFA

Main Symptom:

Ice dispenser auger motor runs continuously.

What happens & when:

The metal drive shaft at the back of the freezer (which turns the corkscrew/auger in the ice bin) spins constantly whenever the dispenser door is closed, even when the dispenser lever is not being pressed. The auger immediately stops when the refrigerator door with the dispenser is opened. Issue started while actively dispensing ice. Removing the front dispenser display/control panel did not stop the motor from running.

Error Code (if any):

None displayed.

Parts or tests already tried:

  • Verified auger stops when freezer/dispenser door opens.

  • Removed dispenser display/control panel — auger motor still runs continuously.

  • Ice bin removed for observation of drive shaft spinning.

  • No parts replaced yet.

(To be added)

If you press the water selection on the dispenser, does it start dispensing water instead of trying to dispense ice? If not, the main control likely has a stuck relay, causing voltage to constantly be supplied to the auger motor. 5304508861 Refrigerator Control Board Assembly | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock
