Hello, I recently ordered from AppliancePartsPros.com a control module for my Bosch SHU9956 UC. The original control module was damaged due to a stupid mistake :o I installed the new control module and the countdown display does not light up… However, the dishwasher runs through its program that is selected (by guess, because the selector button lights don’t come on and the countdown timer is blank e.g. off) and the machine appears to perform all cycles normally
The lights on the front (wash, dry , clean) come on in sequence as the machine goes through its cycles.
If I put the dishwasher into a test mode by pressing the “regular wash” and “quick wash” buttons simultaneously, the countdown display lights up with the number “22”. The display goes blank when I release these two buttons. Pushing “delay start” button causes the countdown display to show “18H”. Push the “Delicate Wash” button causes the buzzer to sound, the number “188” to display and the “*” to display. Pressing the “regular wash” and “quick wash” buttons again simultaneously causes the display to show “1” and begins the cycle test where the machine drains, fills, washes and then drains. This total cycle time is about 23 minutes, most of which is spent heating the water. At the end of the full test the countdown display shows a fault code of “1”, the “delay start” button is flashing and the the “regular wash” and quick wash" lights are flashing. Can you help me understand why the control module will not display any parameters besides the test? Is the new module faulty?
Oh, one other thing! If I turn the power switch on, the machine starts - - even with the door open  It begins draining, then begins filling with water. I then close the door, not wanting to see how the washer works with the door open! I replaced the door switch (from AppliancePartsPros.com) and it is verified by continuity test to work. In spite of this properly operating switch, the machine still starts with the door open.
Thanks, Li
