Trying to confirm that I have found the correct part for my dishwasher before ordering it.
I read a number of other posts and ran the tests. I have (non-professionally, of course) determined that my drain pump is to blame for my problems.
I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II. The numbers that I find on the inner part of the unit that I believe one or the other is the model number are as follows.
Imperial / DUL200PKQ1 / 8268470
Trying to determine if this ( Part Number: AP3133590 ) is the correct part that I need to order.
Dishes are not getting rinsed properly causing spotting and film. Water comes into the system just fine, but does not drain properly at the end of the cycle. Once the wash is completed, there is standing water in the bottom of the tub.
The first thing I would check is the air gap on top of the sink (if any).
Remove the cover from the air gap, remove the top piece and check for clog.
Remove the drain hose from the air gap or wherever it is connected, put the end of the drain hose in a bucket, run the drain cycle and look for any foreign objects coming out.
If this is not the issue, then remove the bottom panel, remove water from the dishwasher, disconnect the drain hose from the check valve (#15 on the pump & motor break down diagram) and remove the check valve (turn CCW).
Inspect the check valve for a clog.
Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model DUL200PKQ1
I also have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner, model GU1500XTLQ2 that will not drain. I cleaned out the lines, did not find see any major gunk. Disconnected the hose and ran the drain cycle into a bucket and only got a trickle. Took apart the pump motor and even ran it briefly disconnected and actually observed the motor turning, Perhaps it is too weak? It does seem to be a bit loud. There appears to be a valve on the drain hose but it appears to be open. As a test, if I leave the wires disconnected to this valve, would that mean it will stay open?
Thanks!
So you think its the sump drain check valve? I believe I did see that little rubber thingy, and I poked at it . Something forces that open when it is set to drain? You think then that the Pump motor is OK then? It is kind of loud when it runs.
The water flow forces the check valve to open and if any foreign object got stuck there or if the check valve is broken then it would not drain properly.
The drain pimp could make an excessive noise if it runs without water.

Tried something out here, I disconnected the drain hose from under the washer and the water drains right out, so it appears the check valve is ok? Though not sure that the flow is strong enough, perhaps partially blocked? Would I have much luck blowing air into the drain the opposite way perhaps, to clear it?
Thanks again for the responses
No, it would not help. Doing that you can make it even worse. If water drains out of the drain pump then the problem could be a bad drain pump or clogged hose.
The problem is fixed!
It turned out that the drain vent part that connects to the sink was clogged. A 8 dollar part at the hardware store. Saved alot of money not calling a repairman. Thanks!
We have never gotten our whirlpool quiet partner II to work…most buttons light up but that is about it…is it the control panel or the computer to blame?
I have the blinking clean light 7 times. I have reset it twice, but it keeps coming up. Seems like it is getting hot inside, and I have been starting with hot water as well. what do you think my next step is?
