What is the model number of the appliance and what was the original issue that led to the user interface cover being replaced?
The mpdel number is GDT665SSN5SS.
I replaced it because the dishwasher stopped working and the user interface froze with light that flickers ,comes and goes sometimes dark.The buttons did not work at all , it was making sound like the sound when the door is not shut properly.. the u i was not in good condition anyway it had a broken plastic seal on the sides.. the green led on the controle board was blinken once a second.. i replaced the u i nothing still the same then replaced the controle board and the harness cables the dishwasher started working again.. but no led cycle light at all!!
From what I am able to see, the user interface panel that would be used with the model GDT665SSN5SS would be part number WD21X31089. I am also finding that the machine control and door harness are part numbers WD21X30998 and WD21X25474 respectively. If the machine control and door harness part numbers are what were used, it is very likely that the new user interface WD21X31099 is the issue since it is not a match to what the manufacturer recommends for this model. In cases like this, it may be possible to gain some or most functionality of an appliance, but still not have full functionality.
