Can't remove inlet protector on a Kenmore

After removing the screws from the inlet protector and the foreign object protector, I can’t get the inlet protector off. Is there another latch? the foreign object protector comes off easlily. Help!!

Wow, you ain’t kidding. I actually got mine off just now, and it’s pretty easy. I realize that you probably already got this fixed, but I’ll post this for future searches. Once you get the screw out of the left side, use a pair of needle nose pliers to pinch the screw-hole and pull straight up. It might seem stuck for a couple of tries, but then the cover will slide right up. There are no latches or locking tabs, or anything like that.
