I have a Bosch smu4052uc dishwasher. When I turn it on and after it pumps out the residual water, it makes a loud vibration. Is this the “Water Valve”. If so can it be cleaned or should I simply replace it ??
You probably have a bad drain pump, you will need to pull out the dishwasher to fix this.
Why do yopu think it is the pump rather than the water valve. The pump seems to have no problem moving the water out. The noise seems to be when the dishwasher is trying to fill. If I open and close the door several times then the fill cycle seems to happen with no noise.
Run the “cancel drain” and it will drain the unit that will tell you if the drain pump is the noise maker or the valve which isn’t used then.
