I recently replaced the control unit and float assembly. When I first ran the unit after replacing these parts it started at some cycle number and it went down to 1 but it never stopped. The unit just kept washing and didn’t finish the cycle. I then opened the door and let it sit for a few minutes and started the wash cycle again. It then started at 13 on the timer and it went down to 1. Once again it kept going after reaching 1. I let it run and after an hour it finished the cycle.
I started a third cycle and it started at 2H. Once again it went down to 1 but it never stopped washing. I opened it and started the cycle again and again it started at 13 and went to 1 and stayed there for an hour and finished the cycle. I could do this sequence over and over.
I also noticed the inside of the unit has a moister film on it as if the water didn’t get very hot. I know the water form my water heater is coming in hot because I actually ran the water several minutes before starting each of the cycles to make sure I had hot water. I also ran a vinegar rinse to clean the sensors per one of the posts, just in case.
I am wondering if the heater assembly may be bad and be causing this problem.
Thanks for your response Mark. It turns out heater was bad on it. I went through the trouble shoot manual and figured it out. As you said I replaced the entire assemble and it worked fine. Unfortunately it probably means the original controller was fine and I ended up buying a new one but I guess I have a spare in case the new one goes out.
Thanks again.
