Bosch dishwasher is not cleaning - water is not hot and not circulating

The dishwasher ran about 2 times longer in trying to clean the dishes, and has not worked since. The water fills and drains, and the motor makes sounds (different than usual) during the wash cycle, but the water is not spraying around and does not seem to be hot in the dishwasher. I tried the self test sequence, which is showing a “heating fault” (2), although the motor is reading OK at 9.8 ohms at the panel. I am tracking down a current probe to measure the heating current.

My question is: would the heating fault prevent the water from circulating at all? Or alternatively, would the pump not circulating water prevent the heater from coming on, and so cause the fault? I will follow the troubleshooting guide on the heating fault, but is there any other debugging I can do on the water circulation issue?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

I opened up the recirculating pump and the impeller had separated. I bought the impeller and seal replacement kit, installed them, and it works fine now.

We are glad you were able to fix it.
