Symptom: when on auto sensing the timer won’t progress and end its own cycle. Took 5 hours to dry a load. When I push start on the timed high heat setting, igniter glows bright orange, I hear one click, tiny flame starts at the end of the flame spreader, then it goes out only to then appear at the air mixing port.
What I’ve done so far: opened up the exhaust vent, cleared all lint/debris, cleaned vent screen, installed brand new complete gas valve assembly (includes new igniter and coils), checked and confirmed continuity with a digital volt meter (solenoids, thermal fuse, flame sensor, timer - checked against the manufacturer’s diagram, hi limit thermostat, cycling thermostat). Blower seems to flow nice and strong as well. Drum spins as it should.
Have not tested gas pressure. Don’t have that reader and a tapped cap like the one in the Video.
I straightened the coil like gas pipe from the wall valve to the dryer. Also put the dryers front and back cover back on before testing the dryer.
I wonder if the gas company lowered the gas pressure or like you said, there’s a bad regulator.
When I replaced the gas valve assembly I noticed a brass reducer between the gas valve assembly and the coil like gas pipe from the wall. Should I remove the reducer and connect the dryer and the gas pipe directly?
