Gene , are you talking about the chopper cover or the slot that the right side of the chopper cover fits into. I have no black rubber anywhere so I can't tell where un it goes:(

I know what the check valve looks like. I just do not see anyplace where it goes:mad: I believe mine got eaten up so I need to know where to instal the replacement. There seems to be nothing to the right of ther chopper assy where it might go

:eek: Well, I now have replaced the chopper assy and check valve. Still does not work. Every two weeks I have to clean the chopper screen because it is totally plugged up on both sides. Is the only thing left that could cause this, a non working impeller.Is there any way to check to see if it is working? Wouldn't I need to acess from the bottom to replace?

The same ongoing problem after the chopper has been replaced means the impeller is bad. Whirlpool does not sell it separate, so you have to order the whole new motor assembly. The instructions are attached to the reply. - The circulation motor Part number: AP4434021
