After a power outage my Whirlpool range (model GS773LXSS0) is displaying "E1 F1" error code. I unplugged it for about 15-20 minutes and when I plugged it back in the same error code came on. I've read that replacing the ERC (Part # AP4355979)is the remedy, but before purchasing this piece I wanted to know:

1. Is this the likely problem?
2. How easy is it to replace?

I appreciate any help,

Greg

Greg,

According to the Tech sheet and Whirlpool instructions, the suggested correction is to replace the control board.

The control board Part number: AP4355979
Part number: AP4355979

you posted is the correct part number.

If you know how to handle a simple tools, this part is not too difficult to replace yourself. You can find the complete instructions in the Service manual.

Got the part tonight, switched it out (very simple to do) and it works like new. Thanks again.
