Opening the door mid cycle can allow water past the door bottom seal. This will flood the bottom tray which has a safety float switch. Once activated, the aquastop activates and water pump may activate. Solution: pull the dishwasher out. From the left side bottom, pull back the insulation and dry the sides with paper towels. You will see a circular styrofoam float switch. I like to disconnect the switch and remove the float for drying. While you're there, feel the aquastop at the back for wetness as a leaking aquastop can flood the insides as well. slightly dirty water suggests it came from the door. inspect your door seals as well.
