Was getting E2-F6 error and replaced the control board. Now I am getting E1-F5, and the bottom oven door keeps locking and oven shuts off. any ideas?

I had this code yesterday and just wanted to post the fix for someone to find...Preheat your oven first (to 350 degrees) and then try it. My oven locked and continued the cycle when I did this.

My oven wouldn't clean and kept shutting off, and gave me the E1-F5 error code. I knew it had something to do with the latch, but of course Whirlpool only said to call a serviceman. We don't have $100 to spend on cleaning our oven right now, so I tried some fixes I found online--shutting off the circuit breaker for the oven (mine is built in), cleaning the latch from the outside since it seemed pretty dirty....nothing helped. I was going to give up and clean my oven the best I could.

When my husband came home, I told him the only other fix I heard was to replace the whole latch assembly and I tried to show him what happens. Since I had just cooked dinner, the oven was hot already, and voila! It locked!
