So my wife and I are getting black streaks all over our clothing as a result of washing in our thin twin... No-one seems to know whats wrong or how to fix it! PLEASE HELP!!!

Well add us to the folks who don't know either, in large part because we are not there to see it.

A likely problem is that there is some sludge like product between the tub and the basket which is knocked loose and is coming into the washer. Take off the cabinet using this service manual and check it out. If this is the problem you can clean it out manually or with a washer cleaner product.

If that is not the problem I am going to take a guess here and say the likely cause is the black streaks are coming from a break in your transmission seal, which is allowing transmission lubricant into the tub. You will know this is the problem is you see oil splatter on the inside of the cabinet. In this case replace the transmission.
