The unit is 14yr old have not had any major issues as of yet.
The dryer will stop during the auto or timed heat cycle. When it stops running, the unit is producing heat in the drum, the timer is still advancing. Within about 2 minutes or so the unit will start back up. It seems that over time the stoppage has increased making it pain to dry clothes. Last night once it started stopping after about 20 minutes of running it, waiting about 2 minutes it would start again but ran shorter times before stopping again. The more googling I do, it seems to point to the motor, but not sure. I don’t want to gamble replacing the motor just yet and considering the age might be time to move on.
