We have been dogged by keypad issues with this expensive gas range for a few years. It's always been difficult to use, and would occasionally bring up 'F75' on screen, accompanied by a beep every few mins (with luck this could be cleared by cutting power at the service panel).

Coming back up from the most recent power cycling (to again clear the F75 error), the key pad is now completely inoperative, leaving us only with the 4 gas burners on top (keypad being required to operate the rest of the stove). We have the displayed time blinking, but none of the touch controls affect that.

I have pulled the control unit away and out of the front panel, hoping to find ribbon connectors in back, which apparently have caused problems in other GE appliances.... but I'm not seeing any. (I was hoping to clean and reseat any connectors, with an expectation that normalcy might be restored). After disconnecting and the reconnecting the 3 or 4 wiring harnesses (no change), I have run out of ideas.

A while back, with just the F75 code issue, we did have a service tech come out, and he told us he could replace the controller, and it may immediately fail - i.e. : no guarantees. Is there anything else to be done in terms of diagnosis? It's hard to believe that a gas range of this expense is brought down by this issue - with no long term fix in the offering.

Frustrated, Grant.
