My LG icemaker quit working. Model #5989JA0002. The icemaker does not fill with water. The icemaker is turned on, there is a strong flow of water through the filter, none of the lines are iced up. I just installed a new water valve. I ran a test cycle by holding down the ice cube size button for three seconds. The icemaker mechanism seems to work, it rotates smoothly but it never stops turning. I can make it stop by turning off the icemaker. Once it stops though the water valve solenoid does not activate and fill the unit with water. Does this indicate the icemaker itself has something defective in the electronic board? Is there anyway to test the electronics? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! MIke
