Hey everyone,

I recently replaced the pump & drive belt on my Maytag washer...I was experiencing squeaky sounds prior to replacing the belts.

After replacing the belts...the squeaks disappeared. However, I now notice an oily smell especially when the washer spins out the water.

I noticed that the plastic bag in which the new belts were shipped...smelled somewhat like the odor I am detecting, Do you feel that the odor will continue to dissipate with time, or is this an issue with the belts...perhaps, not tensioned properly?
