Ok so i have this old admiral washer (insert long backstory here) and the old cord was chewed through or something. So theres no way to plug it in if I wanted too. So i also have a whirlpool duet sport that i removed the power cord from (all the way to the clips) and removed the other one and so on. My problem lies here... I know that one goes on either side because thats how they have it. What I need to know is, what side is hot and what side is the neutral post on? Does it matter? The other wires were not marked as is comes together in a little plastic clip. I removed those and put the clip back together but, I kinda recon that it matters and I dont wanna ruin anything. Thanks for any advise. I do not currently have the wiring diagrams.
