Hi , my GE electric wall oven will not heat up. I have checked for continuity the elements, the high limit termostat and the limit switch. The elements and the limit switch show continuity (closed for continuity) and the high limit thermostat shows no continuity (open for continuity). I thought the high limit thermo is broken so I have ordered the part. It came in GM original sealed bag, it is identical to the one on my oven but when I checked it it is not showing continuity (open for continuity). I thought the part is broken so I have ordered another part but it is the same as the previous one. Now I am confused. Is the high limit thermo good and something else is broken? Please help. Dave

I just saw on a web page :
High limit thermo, normally open at room temperature closes at approximately 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
So that means the termo that I received is good ??
