First, my dishwasher works fine. My problem is a loud noise during the wash cycle only, but it depends on the soap I use. When I bought my condo 5 years ago, I was using a different soap and it was making the noise. Then for the last few years I was using Cascade pods and everything was fine. I ran out recently, bought slightly different Cascade Platinum pods and the noise is back. I think it depends on how much suds the soap makes. If I interrupt the cycle, let the suds go down and let it continue, then it will be quiet for a short while (less than a minute) then start squealing again.
