I recently had the lid switch go bad on my KitchenAid Superba washer which I replaced. The washer will now spin and drain whereas it wouldn't before. But now, the washer won't stop cycling AND it won't fill. It just goes from one cycle to the next right past the 'off' sections. Also, now in the portion of the cycle where it would fill it just goes straight into the washing motion.

A possible relevant piece of info is that when I was initially diagnosing the lid switch I mashed something together that made a big spark and tripped the breaker.

Does the timer motor sound like the likely culprit or something else?

Thanks!
Andrew
