Left front burner stays on when temp setting is 3 or higher. it doesn't cycle on & off like it used to. What is the most likely part failure the control switch or the burner assembly with temp sensor?
The switch has some black around the case and the original switch part # has been replaced by a new one. I am leaning toward just replacing the switch since it is 1/3 cost of burner assy and part # discontinued.
I visually inspected the switch and the burner assy, but can't see any problems other than blackening on switch. Can't decide which part is failing without knowing what to test with ohmmeter.
