So last night my son discovered a mouse running behind our oven through the back of the cabinets. I unhooked the gas supply line to the oven, unscrewed all the brackets to pull it out. I noticed where the gas line runs through the cabinets had a VERY large hole that was never sealed, so a mouse or more got through.
I filled the hole with Fireblock foam, sealed all possible cracks that I could get the straw into. Slid the over back into the wall, screwed the gas line back in, plugged in the power, turned gas on. Turned the oven on and nothing. It worked flawlessly prior to unhooking it and pulling it out.
Now I can turn the temperature to anything from 200 - 500 and I can see the igniter glowing a bright red / orange, but I cannot smell any gas, nor does it ignite any gas.
I am going to replace the gas line to the over because it just appears old, but anything else that could be wrong? I literally turned off the gas supply, unplugged the power, unbolted all the trim to hold it in and slid it out. Nothing else was touched or altered and it worked fine prior to this?
thanks
