My ice maker has recently quit dispensing. The motor runs and with no ice in the container, the auger spins as it should and in both directions. Once there is ice in the container however, the auger no longer turns. I believe that the top of the shaft or the coupling on the bottom of the container may be worn causing the shaft to slip when there is resistance of ice in the container. How is the shaft removed and replaced?
