25+ year old Whirlpool washer with never a problem. Spins slowly and with a chirping/rubbing sound. Agitates/washes fine. Have so far replaced clutch, coupler, and installed agitator medium cam kit. The sound is rhythmic but I don't know enough about what I am hearing to know what to do about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would take off the cabinet, jumper the lid switch and put it in spin mode to see if you can tell what the problem is. It sounds like the transmission may be the issue, and if so maybe you can hear the noise coming from it.

At 25+ life the machine doesn't owe you a thing. Congrats on keeping it going that long.
