My wife was washing cloths, the washing machine went into spin cycle and started banging.I stop the machine to look inside and it seem like the boot kid came off the inside drum and when it goes into spin cycle it rubs up against the rubber and it sounds like the drum came off.im hoping if i replace the boot kid that it will run smooth. My question is how do you replace the boot kid to this fridgidaire model # GLTF1240as0.Ill apreciate your help.

Thank You

Well, I am not sure exactly what you are referring to, but that does not matter since you know what you are referring to.

Here is the service manual which should show you how to do what you need to do.
