We have the Jenn-Air 42" build-in fridge with dispenser. This version requires custom panels and handles. Control Board is malfunctioning (chirping, constant running, tricky to power on/off). Technician has been out and says the plant that manufactured the control boards had a fire and the only way to replace this part (AP4429562 or W10121049) is by taking the board out and sending it for repair.

1) Is there a substitute part available?
2) Is there a place where we can get a re-manufactured part, so we don't have to wait for the repair?
3) We have a KitchenAid KSS036QTB04 (currently not installed) that we could take the control board from and use. Part number AP4299824. Any chance we could use that part?

Thanks! Julie

Thank you for checking the site. It is listed there, but it you try to purchase it is listed as a "return for repair" part, with no reman parts immediately available.

Perhaps the only choice you have, to get the board repaired. Ask how long it will take.
