Have replaced Motherboard 3 times and Evaporator fan once along with installed new defrost elements. Still will not go thru a defrost cycle. Freezes up after 6 to 8 weeks. Can't figure out the problem. Everything works good for that 6 to 8 weeks. What is the code to force it into a defrost mode? Is there something else that needs to be replaced? Have also install a surge protector.

Did you replace the evaporator thermistor?

Is that the Thermostat? No but I also haven't replaced the defrost timer. Not finding one shown for this model, so it might be built into the motherboard. Do you know the code to force this model into a defrost?

If the evaporator thermistor is off value, the motherboard will terminate defrost too soon and frost will build up. All the evidence you gave points to a bad evaporator thermistor clipped to the top of the evaporator if the frost builds up slowly.
You can initiate defrost manually, but I would replace the thermistor first.

You still did not give me the code to force the fridge into a defrost mode. I want to make sure the heater works.

There is no code. Pull the 3 pin power connector from the motherboard and place a wire jumper from the mating pins as labeld on the board line and def. Look for defrost action when you plug it in.
