My gas Whirlpool dryer was having the issue of no heat, the drum would turn but no ignition. I decided to let me son take a crack at troubleshooting it leading to him shorting the two violet wire shown in the attachment on the back of the dryer.

After I reset the breaker the dryer will not start at all, no click on the start relay. I pulled the leads to see if they were receiving any voltage and no they are not.

Any suggestions?
