Was gone a week, came home to hot refrig and freezer. checked fuse, lights all work, cleaned all out, water and front dispenser work, hear a fan running, just will not cool. the fan on the bottom right in the back is working. did find little mice droppings in the bottom.. Yucky..

Is the compressor on?
You can usually hear it but should also be able to feel it vibrating.
If the condenser/compressor fan (item 24 in section 11) is on then the compressor should also be running.

If it is not on then unplug the unit and check the wires going to the compressor to be sure the mice have not chewed through one.
If Ok then it could be a compressor problem ot it's start device problem.

Below is info on how to check the compressor windings.
Note that this is not a definitive test. It can tell you if the compressor is bad but does not tell you that the compressor is good as it may have winding to winding shorts or mechanical problems.

There is not a good way to check the start device electrically. So if looks/checks OK physically then you have to try a new device.

If the compressor is running and you are getting little or no cooling then it is probably a sealed system problem. This will be an expensive repair as you need a pro, often it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit.
