I've been too busy to troubleshoot this, but I'm thinking it's my heating element. Please feel free to chime is as to whether or not I'm correct.
About 2 weeks ago I noticed that a thick, hard to remove white residue was caked on all my dishes. About the same time, I noticed the machine was doing this:
When I push the buttons to select my wash options, when I push the "Heated Dry" button, it will light up for a second, then go off. If I barely touch the button, it will go on, then off. Some times it will come back on by it's self. Maybe the button is bad? Are the two problems even related? When the machine is not in use, there are no flash codes.
What should I check first?
Thanks in advance!:)

My dishes weren't getting clean simply because the drain was not draining. The button was blinking off because the control board was damaged. Two completely different issues.
I hope this helps somebody.
