We bought our washer in 2004. During the rinse and spin cycle at the end of the wash we began hearing a squealing noise and then the smell of burnt rubber. We stopped the cycle and then began running it again to have the same thing repeat. We found pieces of something at the base of the transmission. Attached are photos of the parts or I have put images of the pieces and the part where we found the pieces on flickr ( Flickr: dez2003@att.net's Photostream). Please click on the images and then all sizes. It should show you the images in large (DSC_0020, DSC_0019, DSC_0015 & DSC_0013). If anyone can tell us what this part is and if it is an easy repair.
