I am at work at the present time. I will try that when I get home. What else can I try? What am I looking for? What would your diagnosis be?

I can't make a diagnosis at this point. The only thing I know is that your washer won't spin.

So if i unplug the pump and the motor still doesn't spin, what could it be? What if the motor is humming? What if the motor is not humming? What if the little pin is turning? What is the little pin is not turning? The motor? The clutch? The coupling? The belt?

washer has a 2 speed clutchless motor and it is not spinning on spin cycle.i can manually spin the tub to get it going and it picks up speed and finishes the spin cycle. i have replaced belt because i could smell it ,i thought.used to spin ok with a light load but has slowly gotten worse

OKay....i ran the rinse and spin cycle.....stopped the washer and unplugged one of the leads to the water draining pump. There was no noise. The motor wasnt humming, it wasnt spinning, the little pin wasnt spinning either. Where the pump was plugged in, it sounded like it wasn't gonna stop sucking water out. It never stopped sucking until i unplugged it.

The pump runs continuously during the spin cycle so that it continues to pump water being spun out of the wet clothes. If only the pump runs during the spin cycle and the cycle ends and washer starts filling again and you never hear any noise from the drive motor during this time, the timer is bad. If you buy the timer from APP and it doesn't fix the problem, you may return it.

Just to make sure......when i unplugged the drain pump, all i heard was the timer ticking. The motor was not making any sound at all and nothing was spinning. So the TIMER will cause the washer not to spin? I took the front off the timer and made sure it was set in the little notch. So I need to purchase a timer?

Yes, that is most likely the problem. I say that because I am not there to troubleshoot your washer. If I was, I could say with 100% certainty whether it's the timer or not.

I am having similar problems with my GE washing machine. I can't get mine to rinse either. My washing machine spins the agitator during the rinse cycle, but the tub does not spin. But it spins fine during the washing cycle. I checked the belt and it does work during the rinse cycle. Do you think I have a faulty timer as well?

Hi,

My GE Washer Model No. WHDSR316G3WW has the same problem.

Washer does agitate and water pump also works, but wouldn't spin dry.

Been trying to look for the timer for my model but couldn't find one. Does my model have timer as well, if so what is the part #?

Thank you very much in advance for the help.

Thanks.
