I have a vent hood (GE # ZV925SL2SS) which the backlight of the control switches was noticed to start rapidly flickering and the LCD screen is blank but lit. When I press buttons to try to start the fan or lights the button press makes the expected chirp noise and which button is flickering at what speed moves around but otherwise the unit is unresponsive. I've turned off the circuit to try to clear/reset the unit with no change in state.

For now the main disconnect switch is flipped inside the unit so the flickering stops and the circuit can stay energized (for other items on the circuit).

Does anyone have a troubleshooting guide/service manual or does this sound familiar? Unit is less than 2 years old and very lightly used.

I don't mind servicing the unit myself, but with many of the parts being $80-$500+ I'd prefer to narrow things down a bit before I start buying / swapping components.
