I have a Residential Garland range with 4 burners and a 12" griddle. The igniter on the griddle will spark at random times for a minute or two and then quit. Everything on the stove is off, it just starts sparking.
The wiring diagram shows the griddle switch connected to a "reignition" module which then controls the griddle spark igniter. I disconnected the wire from the switch and waited. It still sparks at random times. So, it is not a switch shorting 120v to the reignition module.
I have followed the wire from the griddle spark igniter to the back of the range where it disappears down the back. It will be a MAJOR chore pulling the range out of its niche to trace the wire farther. Does anyone know WHERE the reignition module is located? Would Garland really be so cruel to put it in the back where it is so hard to get to?
