After wash cycle is complete and all panel lights are out discharge pump continues to run. Pulled the power cord after 60 sec to reset control panel reconnect power and pump continues but not always. Is this a symptom of the electrical control unit. I don't want to spend $300.00 if this is not the problem.

These units are very problematic.....Disconnect all wires from the main board and reconnect them make sure the contacts are clean and that you have no condensation that is arcing from one side of the connector to another. Then disconnect and ohm out and check your voltage going to both pumps (if you have 2 some only have one) and make sure you have no debris in the pumps and that the motor has good continuity also measure the voltage going down to the motors should be 120v if it's not your main board is bad. More then likely it's your main board if that doesn't solve your problem these boards go out all the time and they have bad bearing issues as well. If you have the money get another unit try craigslist if you have to. These units are known for when you fix one thing something else breaks also i wouldn't take one of these units for free if someone offered me one that's how many i've worked on.
