Tub still won't spin after I replaced the coupler. I hear the motor running but it just sounds like its grinding. Anything else it could be?
Thanks

What is the model number of the washer? Does it drain? If so, after it drains for a minute or two, does the motor pause and then restart? If so, remove the cabinet, jump out the lid switch and observe the clutch hub when it should be in spin mode. If the clutch hub is not spinning, you have a gearcase issue. If it is spinning, it could be a bad clutch, basket drive, drive block or clothing caught between the tubs. Eric

Its model 110 and it drains all the way until empty. I'll do what you suggested tomorrow anyway, just to see if I can see anything.
Thanks for your response.

110 is just the prefix, there should be a decimal point and then 8 more digits. You didn't answer about the motor pausing. If it doesn't pause after draining, the timer is defective.

The full model # is 110 92573200. The timer seems to go through the cycles fine, the tub just won't spin on the rinse cycle. I hear it making a grinding noise so its trying to do something, I just don't know how to diagnose it with the cover off?

I am trying to help but you won't give any feedback. Does the motor pause and restart after draining? Does the clutch hub rotate while in spin mode?

Yes - the motor pauses & restarts. I took it apart again and the clutch is not spinning, so I guess its the gearcase, which at this point probably isn't worth replacing.
Thanks for your help.
