Looks like this black tube should be connected to a pressure regulator which you don't have in your dishwasher. it's better to lock it somehow to prevent possible water leak. Also these tabs have to lock the pump to the tub. If the pump is not locked then it could come up due to vibration and flood your kitchen. Very often in order to save money in the future you have to invest some money right now.

Thanks for all your help in the past. Can you please tell me why water would flow out of the tube above that we discussed previously. The DW ran great for several months with a replacement motor and assembly, but it has recently leaked water out of this tube which my old assembly did not have.
