If we leave it on Cold and the Large setting it will work for a few loads and then back to the filling problem.

I have replaced the timer, level control and checked for a clog in the float tube.

What next?

Replace rotary for size option?

Disconnect the water supply hoses at the back of the washer and check the screens inside the washer inlet valve assembly for debris. Verify that you have hot water by directing the hot water hose directly into the tub. If these are ok, you may have a faulty water temperature switch or a faulty hot water valve solenoid which would require replacement of the valve assembly.
